T-GAGE IV +

T-GAGE IV DL

The T-GAGE IV+ and the T-GAGE IV DL offer features that make your job easier and have been built to perform in the roughest of industry conditions.

These Ultrasonic Thickness gauges have the ability to be calibrated to a variety of different materials using one or two point calibration.

The T-GAGE IV+ has the following features:

  • Alarm mode
  • Differential mode
  • High Speed Scanning
  • RS232 output & Data Send options

The T-GAGE IV DL includes all the features and specifications of the IV+ as well as an Internal Data Logger (DL).

  • The data logger stores 1000 readings, held in 10 files with a 100 readings in each.
  • The T-GAGE IV DL is also accompanied by the file transfer software and cable.
  • Indicator of reading not logged

Both the T-GAGE IV+ and the DL come as a complete kit, ready to use and are backed by 5 year limited warranty.

Alphagage

Alphagage

  • Compatible with any standard single/dual/delay line transducer
  • Storage for up to 8000 thickness readings or 2500 with A-scans
  • Fully customisable menu system
  • Through paint measurement
  • Suitable for harsh environments (IP 67 rated)
  • Infra-red data port for PCs and peripherals
  • Windows Excel compatible using ALADDIN software

Customisation

The Alphagage can also be customised by switching off any unwanted menus, or even all of the menus.

So, if you don’t need the added complications associated with flexible measurement set-up and data storage, then you can hide them by pressing EDIT on the keypad and switch the menus on and off to suit.

The Alphagage is as simple to use as a digital thickness meter with the additional benefit of manual gain control and A-scan display.

Calibration

The Alphagage can be calibrated using one of the following methods:

Built-in Calibration Block

For instant automatic calibration for steel, simply place the probe on the built in calibration block, highlight the relevant calibration method and press OK. The instrument automatically defaults to a velocity of 5930 m/s, positions the echoes on the screen accordingly and calculates the probe zero

Automatic Calibration

For unknown velocity or material other than steel, select Auto-Cal and place the transducer on two reference samples of known thickness and enter the values. The Alphagage automatically calibrates and displays probe zero and material velocity.

Manual Calibration

For materials whose velocity is known, simply key in the velocity and enter the probe zero value obtained from calibration using the built-in calibration block method.

Measurement Parameters

Full measurement set-ups are available to configure the ultrasonic parameters as with a digital flaw detector. Transducer settings can be optimised and stored in one of 10 probe memories.

Calibration settings can be stored and recalled from one of 100 panel settings. The operator has the choice to select between depth mode to measure to first echo, or echo-echo for through paint thickness. Convenience features include manual screen freeze, auto-freeze and the ability to capture the minimum thickness during a scan, with an audible alarm.

Betagage

Betagage

Measures to first echo (flaw/pit) or echo-echo (thru paint).

Repeatability Bar Graph to indicate stability of reading.

Hi and Lo tolerance limits with audible/visual alarms.

Fast Scan mode holds minimum thickness reading.

Internal data logger stores 12,000 readings/A-scans.

Windows PC software for transferring data, RS232 compatible, included in kit.

Measurement resolution +/- 0.01mm (0.001 in).

Single or 2 point calibration, or recall velocity from on-board library.

Wide choice of transducer types available.

Uses 3 x AA cells to give 150 hours operation.

Sonacoat

Sonacoat
  • Easy to operate menu structure.
  • No calibration necessary.
  • Infrared interface for cable free data transfer.
  • Online statistics software.
  • Measurement memory & Statistic memory.
  • Choice of languages available.

The Sonacoat is designed for fast, practical and accurate non destructive coating thickness measurement. A dual purpose innovative gauge used for measurement on steel and non-ferrous metals with automatic substrate recognition, activating the appropriate measuring procedure.

The Sonacoat II-F can be used for all non-ferrous coatings of varnish, paint, enamel, chrome, copper, zinc etc on steel and and iron. This gauge is also suitable both for the laboratory and harsh field conditions. The built-in IP52 safeguards protection against dust and dripping water.

Never has gauge operation been so clear and so straightforward!

Measuring range: 0 - 1500 m / 60 mils
Up to 10 000 readings can be statistically evaluated: number of readings, mean value, standard deviation, minimum and maximum reading.

The innovative transducer construction ensures non destructive measurement of the most highly polished surfaces and soft coatings. Sensor contact pressure is uniform and kept to a minimum, so surfaces remain free from scratches and indentations.
