Unparalleled safety:
A green/red indicator shows whether the source is in the safe position. This indicator is easy visible, even from a distance. The automated source securing mechanism of the GammaMatTSl/1 does more than detecting the return of the source holder into the unit. It really checks the arrival of the source capsule into its safe position.
Safe:
The GammaMat TSI/1 self-shielding link-type source holder and patented radiation labyrinth keep radiation far below 2 mSv/h at the front and back ends of the source channel. The GammaMat TSI/1 is the only device to incorporate a real source position indicator. The source holder can only be released if the remote control and the source guide tube are properly connected. When in the retracted position, the source holder is automatically locked and the source is shielded.

Radiation characteristics:
The Se-75 gamma ray spectrum covers the energy range from 66 keV to 401 keV. Two lines of high intensity, at 137 keV and 265 ke dominate the spectrum. The radiation characteristics are between Yb-169 towards the lower energies, and lr-192, towards the higher energies. This makes Se-75 the ideal choice for gamma radiography for a steel wall thickness range of approximately 5 to 30 mm (0.2” to 11 .8”). Se-75 provides significantly higher image quality than lr-192. |
